‘They've forgotten when they were young and the way they yearned to be free. All they say is this young generation is not what it used to be.’

Soho. Dean Street. 1958. Ezra's Atlantic. The heart of seedy, claustrophobic, dirty, drug-infested pill-popping clubbing.

Silver Johnny, Baby, Sweets, Potts, Skinny and Mickey are caught up in a power game spinning beyond their control. The result is a brutal landscape of carnal passion and treachery woven together with hypnotic language that's part wild profanity and part cryptic poetry.

People talk big to disguise their loneliness. Dark comedy covers up despair.

Jez Butterworth's Mojo made jaws drop with its startling menace and black comedy when it came to the Royal Court in 1995. It shocked again when it came to the Harold Pinter theatre in 2013. Now it's in Cambridge and its gritty realism is being bought to life by an extraordinary ensemble of six actors.
