Murder in the Cathedral

England 1170 – a land riven by a struggle between Church and State. With powerful barons at home and threats abroad, King Henry II is under pressure. Game of Thrones meets modern miracle play in this version of Murder in the Cathedral by T.S.Eliot.

Thomas Becket has such influence as Archbishop of Canterbury that Henry sees him as a threat and asks, 'who will rid me of this turbulent Priest?'. Four knights take it upon themselves to assassinate the Archbishop, in his own Cathedral and in front of a chorus of women of Canterbury.

A powerful drama with elements of Greek tragedy and medieval ritual – the production aims to involve you- the audience- as witness, judge and jury.
