Spiders

‘It’s like your documentaries. You know when David Attenborough is talking about the spiders? And he says how they just eat, and kill, and have sex, and fight, and just– and just… survive. That… That’s real, that’s real life isn’t it?’

Harry is homeless, orphaned, and overly invested in the documentaries of David Attenborough. Mia has everything he doesn’t, yet still feels like she’s suffocating. Claiming she wants a ‘real’ life, she runs away from home and the play begins as they are living together.

Spiders is a gripping piece of new writing that explores what happens when two worlds collide on the margins of society.
