trade

debbie tucker green

Three black women. One Caribbean island. One conversation.

trade is debbie tucker green's (winner of the Oliver Award's Most Promising Newcomer in 2004) fourth play. Written in her distinctly rhythmical prose, a relentless onslaught of patois and spoken word, this one-act play forges and breaks down the connections between the Local, the Regular and the Novice. Politics of sex, power and emancipation crackle in the hot Caribbean sun as the women find out how their lives are connected.
