Lysistrata is sick of men. Having called together all of the women of Greece, she proposes a daring solution to their husbands’ negligence: a sex strike. Her friends are sceptical at first, but eventually realise that with Lysistrata’s help they can cause havoc across Greece, much to the dismay of the menfolk. Lysistrata is a raunchy ancient Greek comedy set in this production in the naughty noughties, combining a classic play with a glitzy, fabulous staging. Full of chaos, glamour, and comedy phalluses, the story tracks Lysistrata as she attempts to convince the world of her radical plan for peace.
This production is suitable for ages 16 and over.
