Step into the chaotic, hilarious world of 1980s Liverpool in Stags and Hens (The Remix), Willy Russell’s fast-paced update of his classic play.
The action unfolds entirely in a nightclub, where the bride-to-be, Linda, celebrates her hen night while the groom, Dave, hosts his stag party in the same venue—without either group realising it. Over drinks, gossip, and playful rivalry, secrets, old flames, and hidden tensions come bubbling to the surface. Linda’s ex-boyfriend Peter appears, reigniting memories and testing her feelings, while both parties navigate friendship, love, and the pressures of working-class life.
With witty dialogue, physical comedy, and overlapping ensemble scenes, the Remix version heightens the humour and pace of Russell’s original, creating a vibrant, contemporary theatrical experience.
This production is suitable for ages 16 and over.
This amateur production of “Stags and Hens (The Remix)” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
